Evidence-gate card
ModelFleet AI
Fictional company, real review pattern.
ModelFleet AI provides credit-decisioning models to lenders. It is raising, and the investor's diligence turns to the governance an acquirer or investor would inherit. The board wants a decision file it can stand behind.
The evidence sits across data science, legal and compliance. The models retrain often, so hand-assembled evidence goes stale between the retrain and the review, and each cycle starts close to scratch.
Custara prepared one current record per model perimeter, with deployment authority, model validation, retrain history and oversight settings held in the same file.

Featured item (expanded): a model version deployment. What was done: model version promoted to production. Under whose authority: the accountable owner at the time, within the deployment authority boundary. On what basis: the validation state and thresholds then in force. Change note: two retrains have occurred since; earlier stated attestations are flagged as pre-change, so the reviewer sees which assertions predate the current model. Kept intact: record reference retained with dated capture details.
Fictional record. Status reflects record completeness, not governance judgement. Not a score, an assessment or a certification.
Bias-testing evidence for one model still needs source. The gap is visible before the committee asks for it.
Shown, not hidden. No score state.
A controlled diligence pack for the investment committee and a board decision file for the same review window.
The record can be reused for later regulator, customer and board reviews without rebuilding it from scratch.
Custara showed what was current and what predated a change. The board and investors decided what that meant.
The record showed which evidence was current and which predated a change. Whether that governance was good enough was the board's call, not Custara's.
Custara prepares the evidence record. It does not assess, score, classify, certify, rate, advise or recommend.
